i'll never forget the day i fell in love. photography lab. mtsu. fall semester. 2000. that was the moment when i saw the most amazing black and white photo i had ever seen. it was, love at first site. i thought... i can do that! so i signed up, along side my friend jeremy cowart. (he, of course, was head and shoulders above me.) that semester, my life changed. i found life. what i saw through the lens of my camera was alive. and no matter how i was feeling, looking through the lens allowed me to escape for a moment in time. one that i captured - forever.

i do not consider myself to be a photographer in the formal sense of the word but just like some believe that everyone can cook i truly believe that everyone is a photographer. so, i've started this blog where i can share what i see each week through my camera. i hope that i can somehow inspire you to fall in love and find life.
